Tata! Do you miss me?

Hi Hi Hi,

Sorry for MIA for 5 months!!! Mummy does post updates about me in her blog rather than in mine as she hardly has additional time for all these. She is on standby 24 hrs for me..Yeah me!

A quick summary of my progress, I must say I am an easy baby. Yeap, I love to self praise. I came out in one push within 1 minute so isn't that incredible? I promised not to give Mummy a hard time in delivery and I keep my promise. Kekeke.

I must confessed I did not give Mummy an easy time in breastfeeding. I was fussy, impatient and I insisted immediate attention when I cry. Oh well, Mummy was really depressed and stressed when she could only breastfeed me up to 3 months. I saw and felt that emotional struggle she had when she had to resort to giving me formula milk.:(

Generally, it's not that tough taking care of me right now compared to the first 4 months. I am more independent now, can play on my own and requires less attention. Occasionally, I still needed some cuddling, talking and playing with mummy.
I love to read books. Dr Seuss's Wacky Weather is my favourite book. Pigeon Mag Mag is my favourite training bottle as I learn to drink water all by myself. I used to hate and protest drinking water but ever since Mummy gave me that bright orangy bottle, I fell in love instantly and water is no longer detestable to me.

Music is a must in my daily routine. Sunday School Songs by Auntie Joey. Instrumental Christian Music and First Nursery Rhymes Songs are what I listen to every day. With that, I can keep motionless for at least half an hour. Not bad right!

Toys? Sad to say, I dun have much toys. Only a mini playmat gym,a Crawler toy by Auntie Pauline, a soft toy bunny by Godpa are my entertainers. Most of my playmates are Mummy, books and TEETHERS!

I am anticipating and wishing for more educational toys, SOLID FOOD, Playpen, high chair and BOOKS! :) I can't wait to taste rice cereal. You cannot imagine how torturous to see Mummy and Daddy eating in front of me and milk is the only source of food I can take. I am getting sick of it. Yucks! I am going to flood myself with drools and more drools till Mummy gives me the first spoonful of rice cereal!

At Week 37

I am engaged! Ready to choose an auspicious date to see the world. Just kiddding! However, it will be kept a secret and you all just have to wait and anticipate my arrival. Hmmm...I am still petite at a weight of 2.7kg. Two weeks ago at week 35, I am also 2.7kg..No weight gain and Mummy is worried if it is normal. Doc A commented that it is acceptable and encouraged her to go for Natural Delivery. Dun worry Mummy, I will be cooperative. :) I promised. Smooth and fast labout k!

Now, I am more anxious for Mummy. She now has to focus in nursing her cough and flu so that she is in a tip top condition to welcome me into this world. As for Daddy, he is stressed by Mummy to get his last assignment done so that he could rest and help Mummy with the last bit of packing. I do wish to give myself as a birthday present for Daddy and celebrate his birthday on 28 Nov 2008. If the space and God permit, I will choose that as my auspicious day hahah...

Mummy is terribly sick :(

Boo Hoo Hoo, Mummy is very sick cause she caught a flu bug from Daddy and is coughing badly everyday. The flu tablet (Chlorpheramine)that she is taking is not doing its healing work on Mummy. Mummy is also worried that I might be affected by the bug and constantly talking to me and checking if I am active and kicking well. Daddy on the other hand is burnt out with his last two assignments, unduly causing mummy to be worried, stressed and restless as she has to take care of his emotional, physical and mental being.

So, since Mummy's next visit to the Gynae is this coming Sat, she decided to push forward to tonight to check on my latest update and at the same time to be treated of her flu bug. By the way, I am now a full term baby of 37 weeks and anytime from now, I may just pop suddenly. Let's see what Doc A has to say tonight. Can't wait to see Daddy and Mummy and gives off my brightest smile.

Mummy, hope you will recover soon so that it does not affect the delivery process....Daddy, relax and be steady, dun stressed and just do your best. You can do it!

Week 35

At Week 35, I weigh 2.7kg..still got another 5 more weeks to go. Dr A says I will not be coming out so early, most probably end of this month. Well, Mummy was telling me to wait till Daddy's birthday before I pop which is 28 Nov. It will be so exciting to have the same birthday as Daddy....I like! Meanwhile, I just have to be patient and wait..........

Rain Rain Go Away.....

These two weeks have been raining cats and dogs. Mummy couldn't even wash my bedding set and some baby hand me downs as our balcony was deprived of sunlight. As I am due soon in 5 weeks time, Mummy is very anxious to get things done before I popped out. She prayed every morning for a bright and sunny day and hold and behold, God answered her prayers. The sun shone brightly and fiercely today so Mummy caught hold of this precious day and got the bedding set washed. Hopefully, we will have clear blue sky as well for the next few days. :)

Winnie the Pooh Bedding Set

Woo Hoo! Mummy and Daddy was contemplating to buy the Winnie the Pooh bedding set which cost $79.90 after discount at Metro or Aussino Baby Bedding set which may cost about $69.90 to $75 after the 40% birthday discount for the Nov new arrivals. However, Daddy wanted to save money so decided not to get the Winnie the Pooh set. Mummy was disappointed and upset as we already have one Aussino bedding set and she wanted something different for the second set. What to do, Mummy learnt to obey and respect Daddy's decision.

I guess God must have seen and heard Mummy's heart and desire that she got a surprise from God after surfing the forum this morning. There is a Spree going on for Winnie the Pooh set and the closing date is today ! The Spree was started a week ago and Mummy did not know about it. The bulk purchase price for the set is $75 inclusive of free delivery to our home. Mummy was thrilled and thankful to God and sms Daddy just now to tell him if she could buy the set which is only $75, just a difference of $6 from Aussino. Immediately, Daddy responded and gave the go ahead approval as he found that it is a good deal. Wheee! Mummy ordered and they will deliver this coming Sat.

I am so happy and so is Mummy! Most importantly, thank God for such providence and wonderful surprise. It's great to witness the grace and the work of God even in this insignificant purchase of a bedding set. :)

Blessing from Uncle Clarence

Daddy's classmate, Uncle Clarence gave Daddy a bag full of his daughter's used clothes. The clothes are still new and beautiful and Daddy and Mummy were grateful and thankful for such a blessing. Mummy woke up real early this morning to prepare breakfast, washed up half the loot of clothes from Uncle Clarence and cleaning the house. She is extremely tired I guess. Thanks Mummy for the hard work.

Not forgetting Uncle Clarence. Thanks Uncle Clarence for such beautiful clothes from your daughter. May the Lord continue to bless you and your family abundantly just as you have blessed others so much in your life. :)

Another 500g.....

I am glad to announce that at 32 week, I have put on another 500g which adds up to a total of 1.8kg. :)

Doc A says I am an average baby and my weight is still fine. Phew! Still have another 8 more weeks to go for my weight gain so Mummy, dun worry too much k!

Today, Mummy thanked God for a good sunny weather as she managed to wash up the mattress protectors, flannel blanket, towels, baby slings and some pillow covers. Still have some more to wash but will be in time for my arrival. Can't wait to sleep in my new bed as the space in the womb is really getting more restrictive.

Daddy has a Greek test tomorrow. He is always anxious over his Greek as it is not an easy language to master but I know he will be doing fine as he has an Almighty God! All the best Daddy, you can do it!

Tomorrow is the last antenatal class that Mummy and Daddy are attending and after which they will be officially certified as "Well prepared Mum and Dad". Mummy and Daddy pray that they will be able to do their best and do it well in taking care of me and applying what they have learnt from Mrs Wong.

Do continue to pray for Mummy and I and that Mummy will have a smooth natural delivery without the need for epidural!!!! Let's aim for that, of cause not forgetting obedience and cooperation from me...kekeke :)

Months ago, Mummy has done research of the different confectionaries on their 1st month cakes for me. She has somehow shortlisted Sweetest Moments as the price is not only reasonable but yet the packaging and items given are creative and unique. 9 more weeks to go!

Yup, 9 more weeks to go and I can't wait to see Mummy and Daddy and of cause you all. :) Time flew real quickly and cannot imagine I am coming to 8 months in a few days time. Mummy still have plenty of things to settle, got to get ready hospital bag, some household items, get the remaining miscellaneous things for me and I can feel that she is very vexed over these as Daddy is not very free to help.

Sometimes, Mummy cries and her emotions can be felt by me. I wished I could comfort her and give her strength to move on. She is getting heavier each day and less mobile and gets tired and weary very easily. Daddy is super busy and Mummy still have to attend to his needs and help Daddy, making sure He is alright and less stressful. Therefore, I can sense that Mummy is pretty burdened by all the work she has to try to do alone.

Because of all these, I promised to be good to Mummy when I am born. She sacrificed so much for me, carrying me in her womb for months and loving me so much. Daddy recently bought me a zebra musical plush toy for me. It is so cute that comes with a musical tune of 'Rock-a-bye-baby'. It is the cheapest among the rest of the toys and I am satisfied enough.

I wonder how heavy I am now and I will know when I visit Doc A this sat for my 32th week check up. Hopefully, everything will be alright and I will not be in breech position.

Latest Weight!

I was 1.3kg at 28 Weeks. This is my 30th week and I can't wait to see the world, my Mummy and Daddy. Heard that Mummy and Daddy had done up my room and I am sure it is beautiful and condusive for me! Mummy also gained tremendous weight from 51.3kg to 61.3kg. Mummy must be feeling extremely uncomfortable as I can hear her groaning with discomfort due to the frequent Braxton Hicks contraction and also due to me. As this is the third trimester, I am growing very fast, so Mummy's tummy is expanding fast and already fully stretched. I wonder how much more can it expand? I overheard Mummy telling Daddy that her tummy is like a balloon, could explode anytime but as long as I am growing well and healthily, Mummy dun mind the discomfort.

Daddy has been talking and playing with me quite often. Hope he does it everyday as I longed to play with him. You know lah, Daddy is a very very busy man.

The space in the womb is rather limited. Thus, I kicked a lot and really hard causing sudden pain in Mummy. Sometimes, Mummy can really see my fingers or some parts of my body protuding out from her tummy. It was really a hilarious sight. Even Daddy is amazed and often lectured me to be good and not be too vigourous with my kicks.

Sorry! I just love to play and this limited space is retricting my movements! Going to see Dr A again next week and I wonder what will be my new weight again? To be updated!

Ah Yi is giving me a gift!

Ah Yi told mummy that she is getting me a gift. Guess what, a camera! Hmmm, doesn't make sense right? How would I be able to use a camera? Well, actually, the camera is a blessing from Ah Yi to Mummy and Daddy so that they can take beautiful shots of me on the spot. Ah Yi told Mummy to choose any camera she likes, Mummy is so thrilled and thankful, including Daddy cause God answered their prayers. Our camera just turned faulty and Mummy and Daddy were hesitating to buy new one as they do not have excess money at the moment to do so. They were putting this idea on hold and thought of borrowing from ppl. Well, God is gracious and provided for us so much. Hee Hee, I can't wait to make my first cutie pose for Mummy and Daddy. hahaha..

Am I too small?

This morning, Mummy and Daddy brought me to see Dr Woody..As usual, I dun find them quite happy with the check up as Dr Woody is always very quick with his scan (about 2 mins). Mummy and Daddy couldn't see much of me. Daddy was commenting that he could even memorise what Dr Woody would say for every visit as it is repetitive. "This is baby's head, baby's heartbeat, baby's tummy, okie everything is fine, see you 4 weeks from now. Remember to eat your vitamins k!" That's all.

Mummy asked about my current weight. I am 786g at 24 weeks and 5 days. Is that too light? Dr Woody assured Mummy that my weight is normal and my test results from the detailed scan were positive and good. Mummy is so thankful to God and 外婆 as they have both been taking care of me so well that I am so healthy and strong. Must be the tonic and bird nest that 外婆 has been feeding me all these while. Thanks 外婆!

15 more weeks to go. I can't wait to see Mummy and Daddy!!!

Prayer for me!

Mummy just posted some of my prayer requests in her Blog. Do keep me in your prayers. I will babble my prayers for all of you too to God in my cozy womb. Yup, I am now growing bigger by a few cm each day. This coming Sat, I should be able to see Mummy and Daddy and Dr Adrian. Hopefully, Dr Adrian will not rush in the scan so that I can see my parents clearly. Everytime, before I could blink my eyes, my parents are gone. Dr Adrian, be patient k, I promise I will not waste lots of your precious time. I will be good so keep your scan slow!

Good news, I have passed the 2nd Trimester and now in my 6 weeks. Four more months to go and I will be out to see all of you. Can't wait. I also notice that I am less active now as I grow bigger each day. I couldn't explain why and Mummy is sad that I do not respond to her much. Well Mummy, I am a gentle baby. Movements and kicks will only be felt more when you are hungry as I can't wait to savour the food you are going to feed me! It gives me energy and strength for the day. Mummy, you must also understand that I have lesser space to move now so it can be quite uncomfortable. Give me time. More will come in the 3rd trimester and I gurantee you that you will be screaming for me to stop adding pressure and pains in your tummy..haha But Mummy and Daddy, I love you both lots! Read more story books for me k Daddy! I miss your voice!!!!

Yesterday night, Mummy and Daddy gave me a good but gentle scolding. Cause I made Mummy and Daddy worried for nearly a day. On Monday night, I was too tired to move at all thus I chose to sleep and recuperate from my hyperactiveness for the past few weeks. Mummy was curious and started panicking. She alerted Daddy that I was not moving and my oh my, I could hear them praying and tapping the tum tum and calling my name several times. Well, I chose to ignore and continue hybernating in the cozy womb. Finally, they gave up and went to sleep.

Yesterday morning, pardon me for not being awake. I guessed I was really exhausted. Mummy nearly wanted to visit the gynae to check if I was ok. It was till dinner time when I felt that I was hungry, I gave Mummy a big kick. That's when she heaved a sigh of relief.

So what happened after that, you should know the story. Oh well, I learnt my lesson and today I shall make my signature moves again. Ha Ha.

Mummy was upset as she made a blunder over my blog. She has accidentally used her account to create my blog. Now, I became the publisher and author of both mine and mummy's blog. It's so funny to see my name appearing in her blog whereby people might think that she is Evangeline and I am posting on behalf of her. Aiyo! This is so confusing.

Anyway, she did try to make it better. Nobody is perfect. Mummy, you are still the best. It's ok and I appreciate the effort you made.

My New Clothes!

Mummy and Daddy are the best! Mummy managed to find good deals on BabyMall. She joined in the bulk purchase for baby clothes by one forummer who has discounts at BabyMall and Mummy just can't stop spreeing at the website. Ha ha. After consulting Daddy on the items to purchase, these are the new clothes I would be getting next week! Yipee! Do I look pretty in these? Most importantly, they are cheaper than the ones in Singapore.

Daddy can't wait to bring me for a dip in the swimming pool!

My Favourite hobby

Everyday, without fail, when Mummy is awake, she would pray in the morning with me to God and ask Him to bless my health and my development. She would teach me the ways of God and her expectation of me as her child. *Piss Piss* But I was hardly awake. Haha cause I am only active at night. So praying in the morning was my daily routine that I must try to follow. Next, I love to kick Mummy when I am hungry, at night and when Daddy is back. Hey, I am not cruel, I am very gentle with my kicks.

At night, I love to exercise despite Mummy and Daddy blessing my sleep. I could hear them lecturing me for not sleeping at the correct timing. Sigh. I couldn't differentiate day and night as everything is pitch dark here. Give me some time!

So to make Mummy and Daddy happy, I would pretend to be very quiet for about an hour, giving them false thoughts that I am obedient, then I make my moves again....! Haha. How would Mummy know as she is fast asleep? *Chuckle* What mischief I am always up to. Ha Ha.

Since space is so limited here, I shall do more stunts when I am out into the world. So stay tune and wait for me!!!!

I am a Minnie!

Mummy and Daddy brought me for my detailed scan at TMC. I could really hear how excited they were but for me, I was still in deep sleep. I was slightly awakened by the radiographer as she used the ultrascan devise to shake my mummy's tummy so that I could move to a better position for them to view me. Aiyo! Why did you all wake me up from my beauty sleep?

I hesitated a while as I just loved lying on my tummy and refused to turn upright to reveal my face. Too bad! I just dun have much peace so decided to entertain them and showing off my gifted talent in posing.

I started off by praying (Pic 1), then show my sexy thigh (Pic 2),sucking my thumb was my favourite hobby (Pic 3), showing off my sharp pointed nose (Pic 4), my back and small little butt (Pic 5) and my final hurray pose. Not bad for a start isn't it?

Mummy and Daddy started calling me Evangeline when I am barely 20 weeks old in Mummy's tummy. I was a little confused as I remembered them calling me Precious all these while..????? oh well, so which is my real name huh?
